NUTMEG PORTUGUESE WATER DOG 2011 CALENDAR
IS NOW ACCEPTING PHOTO SUBMISSIONS!

Due to popular request, Nutmeg is happy to announce that, once again, we will be accepting DIGITAL files for the 2011 Portuguese Water Dog calendar. We will still be accepting conventional photographs as well. Please see instructions below for submitting each.
Photo submission deadline is April 30th.

SUBMITTING DIGITAL PHOTOS

• Remember that professional printing presses need a higher-resolution than desktop printers. Ideally, we’re looking for images shot at 2400 X 1600 pixels, or larger. This means shooting at your highest resolution setting with a camera that is 4MP (megapixel) or more. However, as always, we have both large and small images in the calendar, so we can consider many images except for the very smallest.
   
• Submit as .jpeg
   
• Do not resize your own photographs. Submit originals and let us resize.
  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

• If you have color-corrected or cropped your images, please include the unedited originals.
   
• Important File Naming Instructions: All images MUST be renamed prior to submission. Use your last name followed by your dog’s name -- and then add a number to the end if submitting multiple images. Examples of properly named image files for submission: HardingFluffy1.jpg; HardingFluffy2.jpg; HardingTug1.jpg; HardingTug2.jpg. CAUTION: Sending files under generic filenames will cause the system to override other files and prevent us from considering your photos for use.
   
• Email to: npwd@themdigroup.com  When sending multiple, large images, consider breaking down into multiple emails.

SUBMITTING CONVENTIONAL PHOTOS

• Conventional photographs must be submitted as 5 X 7 or 8 X 10 proofs -- color or black and white.
   
• A self-addressed, stamped envelope MUST be included if you would like your photos returned.

• Let your dog be the main subject of the photo.
   
• This is a calendar -- consider how photos will correspond to various months and seasons.
   
• Show photos not accepted.
   
• Professional photographs must include signed release from the photographer.

• Include the information below -- in your email or on the back of EACH photograph (do not write on front or back of photo, please use labels)

This is a contest, so send your very best pictures. Three rounds of judging happen between June 1st and August 1st. Winners are announced in late August. Every chosen photograph receives a FREE calendar. Front Cover winner also receives an exclusive Nutmeg Gift Bag.
