Nutmeg PWDC, Inc. invites all owners of Portuguese Water Dogs to enter the 2009 Calendar Photo Contest

• Photographs must be submitted as 5x7 or 8x10 proofs -- color or black and white.
  
• Conventional or digital photographs accepted. See below for more information on digital images.
   
• Professional photographs must include signed releases from the photographer.
   
• Each photo must be legibly identified with the dog’s name (AKC and call name), owner’s name, address, email address, and phone number.  Please use labels. Do not write on front or back of photo.
   
• Show photos not accepted.
   
• A self-addressed stamped envelope -- appropriately sized and properly stamped -- MUST be included for return of original photographs.

Suggestions for Photos

• Let your dog be the main subject of the photograph.
• This is a calendar – consider how photos will correspond to various months and seasons.
• Keep the film handy and camera ready.

Information on Digital Images:

• Proofs must still be submitted for judging.
• Shoot at the highest resolution your camera offers. Professional printing needs a higher resolution than desktop printers. Ideally, shoot at 2400 X 1600 pixels, or larger.
• Please do not resize your own photographs. Submit originals and let us resize.
• If you have color-corrected or cropped your images, please also supply the unedited, originals.
